The customer: Meet Go Fish Digital
Go Fish Digital is a digital marketing agency based in Raleigh, NC, with a hybrid team of 140+ employees. They specialize in SEO, PPC, digital PR, and web development, and use innovative strategies and proprietary AI tools to drive real business outcomes.
Greg Zwickl, Director of Account Management and Web Development, leads both client services and technical initiatives.
Greg’s challenge: Security concerns and customer optics
As Greg’s team scaled, he noticed team members were all using different AI note takers for meetings. The problem was that none of the tools had been evaluated and approved by Go Fish Digital’s IT team.
Some of these note takers came with security concerns.
He was also worried that clients would have the same thoughts if they saw an Otter bot in a meeting.
The problem when every employee brings their own AI note taker is that there’s no governance over where proprietary and private meeting data ends up.
Plus — multiple note taking bots attending a client meeting is just bad optics.
Some team members were using Google Docs for meeting notes, simply because it felt like the default option for a Google Workspace shop. The result was scattered meeting notes across different apps and folders. That meant everyone’s notes were different, making it difficult to align on projects as a cohesive team.
With all that in mind, Greg raised a red flag and was tasked with finding a solution to Go Fish Digital’s fragmented note-taking system.
Greg’s solution: Standardized, automated AI meeting notes with Fellow
It was clear that his team found real value and time-savings in using AI to record, summarize, and transcribe calls, so Greg didn’t want to ban them. Rather, he took a proactive approach: find a secure, standardized, enterprise-ready solution.
Greg personally tested six different AI note-takers. More than half failed to meet his bar for professionalism, user experience, or security. And as a person who always reads privacy policies, security was Greg’s top concern.
Amid his testing, Fellow stood out immediately for several reasons:
Strong data privacy controls and transparent policies
Instant AI insights from Ask Fellow chatbot
Accurate transcripts and summaries
Branded meeting bot
Greg began by using Fellow himself, then looped in two senior project managers. Their feedback was positive, particularly around improved call presence and the helpfulness of the Ask Fellow AI chatbot feature.
Greg’s results: Better client relationships, reliable security, and faster follow-ups
Fellow lets Go Fish Digital “empower our project managers to use their brains better and work smarter and not harder.”
During client calls, Greg says he’s able to focus on the big picture while Fellow takes care of noting details. Team members have given similar feedback, saying they can be more present and professional during calls.
Greg is especially a fan of Ask Fellow for generating quick follow-up messages or for remembering key points of conversations.
With Fellow’s central recording library, everyone is able to access the meeting recaps relevant to their roles without time-consuming and clunky file sharing. It’s now easy to move information from meetings directly into their project management app so everyone is on the same page and able to move forward.
With Google Meet’s built-in recording tool, it would take hours to receive the processed video and even more of a pain to share. It also means that if someone is away, they can quickly catch up by reading the recaps of any missed meetings.
It’s now standard to include Fellow in client calls at Go Fish Digital. Greg likes that Fellow can be paused and resumed if needed, and explaining Fellow’s usefulness has become a standard talking point for curious clients. He also knows he can assure clients that Fellow is secure and that anything discussed will remain confidential, encrypted, and won’t be used to train AI models.
Between the strong security and privacy, the ability to have free-flowing conversations with clients, the accurate AI summaries, and metrics like talk time, Fellow has turned out to be just what Go Fish Digital needed.
Greg’s recommendation: Get started with Fellow
Would Greg recommend Fellow to other teams? “Definitely,” he says.
Why Fellow?
Trusted privacy and security standards: The team knows that even sensitive client conversations are secure.
Accurate transcriptions, summaries, and timestamps: Greg trusts that the information passed from Fellow to other tools is a single source of truth that aligns all team members.
Ask Fellow’s instant AI insights: It’s like ChatGPT but for meetings — Greg and his team can get answers and follow-up messages in seconds.
Strong onboarding and proactive support: Whenever a question arises or a new feature is added, Greg can trust that Fellow’s team will be there to provide instruction and context.
