Go Fish Digital is a digital marketing agency based in Raleigh, NC, with a hybrid team of 140+ employees. They specialize in SEO, PPC, digital PR, and web development, and use innovative strategies and proprietary AI tools to drive real business outcomes.

Greg’s challenge: Security concerns and customer optics

As Greg’s team scaled, he noticed team members were all using different AI note takers for meetings. The problem was that none of the tools had been evaluated and approved by Go Fish Digital’s IT team.

Some of these note takers came with security concerns.

He was also worried that clients would have the same thoughts if they saw an Otter bot in a meeting.

The problem when every employee brings their own AI note taker is that there’s no governance over where proprietary and private meeting data ends up. 

Plus — multiple note taking bots attending a client meeting is just bad optics.

Some team members were using Google Docs for meeting notes, simply because it felt like the default option for a Google Workspace shop. The result was scattered meeting notes across different apps and folders. That meant everyone’s notes were different, making it difficult to align on projects as a cohesive team.

With all that in mind, Greg raised a red flag and was tasked with finding a solution to Go Fish Digital’s fragmented note-taking system.

With Fellow’s central recording library, everyone is able to access the meeting recaps relevant to their roles without time-consuming and clunky file sharing. It’s now easy to move information from meetings directly into their project management app so everyone is on the same page and able to move forward.

With Google Meet’s built-in recording tool, it would take hours to receive the processed video and even more of a pain to share. It also means that if someone is away, they can quickly catch up by reading the recaps of any missed meetings.

It’s now standard to include Fellow in client calls at Go Fish Digital. Greg likes that Fellow can be paused and resumed if needed, and explaining Fellow’s usefulness has become a standard talking point for curious clients.
