How Fellow evolved to transform meetings with AI
Fellow was founded in November 2017 by Amin Mirzaee, Aydin Mirzaee, and Samuel Cormier-Iijima. The three had previously founded Fluidware, which was acquired by SurveyMonkey. That acquisition brought a small team of under 100 into a company with more than 800 employees, and the meeting problem came into full focus.
As Fellow’s founders became managers, they saw the need for a meeting management solution. They interviewed industry leaders and developed Fellow — designed to be a great tool for managers of people. After a testing period at Fellow’s first customer, Shopify, Fellow was released to the world.
In 2023, Fellow introduced AI notetaking as a powerful new tool to solve the meeting problem. With Copilot, Fellow has become an enterprise-level AI note-taker for every team in the organization and supports the entire meeting workflow for internal and external meetings.
